Echoes of Patriotism in Golden Hill Walking through the woods, I stepped onto the mud, slippery as it was. Along the narrow roads, rocky and muddy, I saw the footage of those young boys passing by me. That night was a starry one, with fireworks soaring through the sky, yet they stood resolutely under the bright moon. In front of the Hongkongers, those boys fought for what they believed in and for a land that was never truly theirs—where their blood watered and softened the earth of Golden Hill. Cement structures loomed, echoing a moment frozen in time. Charing Cross, Shaftesbury Avenue, Regent Street, and many more trenches stand amidst history, showcasing the spirit of hecatomb and the essence of patriotism.
